“Computer Corner” session class - all day Tuesday March 24th, 2009 Merle and Linda will be teaching the “Computer Corner” session all day Tuesday, March 24th. This session is an extension of our Computer Corner feature in each Lifeline Magazine.
New Release Thoroughbred Software Forum for Clerks, Managers, Board Members, Council Members, Etc. We will be holding “A Penny For Your Thoughts” forum at our booth at 4 PM on Wed. March 25th.
Be sure to stop by the Tbred booth during the 2009 Kansas Rural Water Association Conference to see what’s new! Tuesday night we’ll be running a new and improved version of Water Bingo. In addition to greeting customers at our booth Tuesday evening, all day Wednesday and Thursday morning.

2009 Classes Schedule

2009 Classes at TSI in Topeka First day class ; 10am-5pm, second &/or third days: 9am-4pm.

Full System(FS)=Whole system: computer, monitor, keyboard & mouse supplied by TSI - $150 per person per day

Partial System (PS)=Only monitor and power cord is supplied by TSI - $75 per person per day

No System (NS)=Nothing supplied by TSI, student brings notebook computer or complete system - $50 per person per day

The practice of customers bringing their own computer began when one of our customers inquired if it would be all right to bring and work with their own system. They wanted to show the instructor some specific problems & make the necessary changes on the spot. It’s become the most popular way to take classes, not just for the financial savings, but because the student can ask specific questions about their own data, setup their rates, queries, etc. Live data is protected before class by making a duplicate folder on the hard drive.

Super Query Class: Instruction on the use of the Query feature found in all Thoroughbred software.

Utility Manager Class: Covers basic functions with emphasis on the steps involved in monthly procedures.

Horse Cents Fund Accounting Class: For cities using Tbred’s integrated accounting program.

Court Manager Class: Training on the use of our state approved court program.

Private Instruction is also available at our Topeka office or on-site at $60 per hour and for travel, $60 per hour only charged one way. When traveling to a distant location we try to schedule more than one customer in an area so our customers may save some money by sharing the trip expense. Sometimes several customers in an area will join together for a class and divide up the hourly instruction cost. It saves us time and you money. We are now also offering 2-four hour private sessions at our facility in Topeka for a total price of $360 ( $45 per hour).
